Double Distress Call
Tonight we were told to ride in full superhero costume. Pilots adorned themselves with tights, light sabers, swords, flying helmets, and capes. We were asked to join a superhero party already in progress in the JP system. Our hope was that with combined superpower forces we might be able to put an stop to the endless radiation that has been plagueing our missions.
One Maggot joined for the mission. Waltor first led us to a party just outside of the union constellation. The fleet fueled up and after a short shore leave headed for JP. However, as they were launching, Fliupper took a nasty spill on SwampThing landing rather uncomfortably on her tailbone. She was unable to continue on the mission and headed back to recuperate with the assistance of Maddog.
The rest of the fleet went through Cambridge over the BU bridge and into the Brookline System. While in Brookline, we were passed by an ST who called "incoming" over his PA. We were delighted to see that the lingo has caught on. After a few sharp turns, Trackstar took a nasty spill falling on her cranium. A civillian named Beverly was nice enough to turn on her porch light and offer assistance. After some recovery the fleet headed onto JP to our second distress call. Here we found fellow pilots in full superhero regalia ready with beer molecules and BBQ. The fleet relaxed, refueled, chowed down and then headed for home. The return trip followed the southwest corridor to Planet MassAve to the esplanade. We snuck along the Luna CambridgesideGalleria and then headed for home, tired but happy to have made it through a dry mission.
