Mission Summary

There is but one word to sum up this intergalactic mission to the Maine Galaxy: awesome! Not one negi comment the entire 139 light years. No injuries. No one burned up on reentry. It all started Frinight when Skunk, Diva and Waltor headed through the megaopolis mumbojumbo to North Station in order to board a rocket called the "downeastah." We took it up to Portland, ME, checked into the dirtiest hotel there, and then went into the city. We headed up through cobblestones, down to the old port around a bay and up StarpathCongress. We fueled up on real beer molecules and then Skunk asked, "where now" to which Waltor replied, "uh we've seen it all, dude." So we orbited StarpathCongress a few more times and then headed back for rest. Saturmorn we met up with PigPen and her maggot EvilTwin. We fueled up at LunaDenny's and headed for the Wells System. We encountered some negi-gwell leaving the Portland System but soon were on our way south. About 14 light years into the ride we joined up with a portion of the Eastern trail wormhole in deep space and it challenged our navigational ability. 2 light years into the trail we reached a crossing that stated "no trespassing" and was barred up. The alternatives would have been to turn around or encounter serious radiation. So we manipulated our way across the bridge despite its warnings and continued on. Waltor then led us towards the shoreline. We had great views ofd the horizon and stopped for fueling at OldOrchardBeach. Here there were many distractions for us, including a large ferris wheel. We then continued along the coast towards our landing site called StadigCampground. The area provided us with free wood and hot showers. A quick tour of the Wells System afforded us chinese molecules for dinner and gave us access to marshmallows to roast around our campfire. The roasting was fun, but EvilTwin found it quicker to toss them directly into the fire and watch them burn.
The next morning we needed to head for Newburyport. Waltor led the fleet through some scenic areas along starpath rt1a. We stopped for fuel at the Luna EggAndI in the Ogunquit System and then continued onwards. The pancakes didn't quite settle with Waltor, who tossed them up 10 light years later. We crossed the NewHampshire border into the Portsmouth System. Unfortunately, John Bailey wasn't there. Realizing we were getting short on time, we started hauling oats for Newburyport. Briefly we stopped at a beach in New Hampshire just north of Hampden where Diva accidentally deposited her helmet. We continued on to Hampden, fueled up and then booked through a rather nasty transport pile up across the Massachusetts galaxy. We arrived at 20:00 hours at the Newburyport System and hopped on a slower rocket home. In all it was a great mission.
