SCUL Prime Boston Guest Protocol and Briefing

Ahoy and welcome aboard. Prepare for blast-off!

SCUL is a sci-fi fueled bicycle chopper gang, established in 1996. We fly weekly from April to Halloween. We fly tight and are highly organized. There's a lot to learn: give yourself a little time to read this over carefully.

SCUL is invitation only. If you don't have an invitation please email scul.ambassador@scul.org

Guest or Cadet?

Most people who fly with SCUL start out as cadets, and are trained to be full-fledged SCUL pilots. However we do make make exceptions. Some examples are:

Cadet training is more intense than guest protocol, but once training is complete you can attend any mission you like without a wingmate. If you are interested in becoming a pilot, look over our cadet training page.

We Have a Ship Just for You

SCUL has a fleet of starships for all types of starpilots with broad range of difficulty levels, available at a first come, first serve basis. We can help you find the right one for you. SCUL is an all-chopper fleet: no civilian vessels on the mission without express permission from the mission leader.

Pre-Mission Briefing

To ease your transition into space and to help us prepare you, please read the following web pages before entering fort airspace:

Your Wingmate

Each guest in SCUL needs a wingmate - a pilot who will guide you through the guest protocol. We will try to get you set up with your wingmate before the mission.

Support the Gang

SCUL has a sliding-scale suggested donation of ten Earth Credits, which pays for rent, tools, and supplies. We also have a distributed jobs: please consider taking one on. We have excellent job documentation to make things as easy as possible.

Taskforce Jobs

SCUL has a list of jobs that need to be assigned before blast-off. Everyone is encouraged to take on at least one job: consider taking on one of the easier jobs for your mission. Your wingmate can help guide you through the process. Many hands make for light work, even in zero gravity.

What to Bring on the Mission

Don't bring more than you need so you aren't overburdened. Choppers are more difficult to fly than your civi ship: they tend to wheelie if you're flying with a heavy pack.

Spacetime Coordinates

Fort Antwerp is located at 55 Antwerp Street, Boston - accessible from Holton street and Everett Street access roads. If you are travelling by car, park in the transport depot. If you travel by bicycle, bring it right in!

Your wingmate will let you know what time launch is - be sure to arrive at the fort and be ready for mission prep at T-minus one hour

Mission Briefing and Preparation

Once you arrive at the fort you will be issued an official SCUL boarding pass. Keep this pass with you for the mission. It contains all the basic information you need to fly with SCUL.

Artisans Asylum Guest Policy

Guests must be accompanied by a SCUL pilot when visiting the Artisans Asylum.
