Luna Libros III: Holocron Heist

Three revolutions ago, the Starchasers first discovered the location of the five Athenaeum of the Secret Sector. These forgotten temples store the collective history of the cosmos and the keys to unlocking the great mysteries of the universe. During our last expedition to these hallowed halls of knowledge, we discovered a message from an ancient race of adventurers, bizarrely addressed to us, The Starchasers!

Recently, Starchaser intelligence has discovered a new signal emanating one of the temples. It's up to us to inspect the constellations around each temple, isolate the signal and determine it's source. It is once again time for our band of daring explorers to suit up and take flight across the New Bedford System to confirm the status of her five citadels of knowledge.

Joined by the new cadets of the triumvirate Tribe Called Blessed and Electric, The Starchasers, screeching frequencies of pulsing infinities entered the portal out of the Buttonwood Constellation and toward the dNB. The course was set for the main vein of the mother brain but even with the cries of pleasure and enthusiastic encouragement from the lifeforms indigenous to the Temple Landing Cluster, Angry Candy threw her propulsion transfer conduit. Thus, halting the flow of our exochromatic enzymes and forcing us to focus on the mechanical failure which now threatened nothing but time and dampened not our spirits because as Mr. Electric enthusiastically exclaimed, "We will overcome this challenge with the power of our positive thinking!" (or something like that). I think he's a keeper. As Beatleman, Civitron, Sage, and Papa Blessed set to work making the necessary adjustments to Angry Candy, the rest of our pilots redirected threatening transport vehicles away from the dancing babies. VVVRRROOOOOOMMMM! Beatleman offered a temporary fix, which would last long enough to Voltron back to base with Papa Blessed on AC as the Black Lion. Despite our setback, the energy exuded by our troupe was enough to power the System that Lit the Cosmos for an eternity. Our spirits remained ever indomitable!

Back at Fort Jonathan, the crew bid farewell to our burned up comrades and prepared our relaunch. Prospective cadet, Didi surprised us on her civilian ship and we were once again aflight on the sea of stars. Utliilzing the Cosmic Union, we made quick time to our first destination. Scans were taken but no the signal was not emanating from these coordinates. It seemed our princess was in another castle. Civitron utilized his sonic screwdriver to boost the power on the signal receiver thingy and we were able to identify that our prize was not to be found in the Northern Quadrant and we just plain skipped over the Casa da Saudade. After making all the necessary adjustments to our flight plan, were back on track to our destiny!

We made a few loops through the dNB to stimulate the imagination folicles of the local life forms. Then, we set a course for the Southern Quadrant of the New Bedford System. The Howland Greene temple was quiet (no signs of arson this year). We made our scans but found no buried treasure. It was time for a break from our quest. So, we cruised along the edge of the Nebulous Rift for a while, exploring her dark and twisty pathways. The mission leader called for a brief shore leave. Chalkbag was deployed and fuel was dumped. Take that, Chalkulust!

As we made our way back to home space and our final destination of the Lawler Temple, the warpcore of radiobox A ceased to function adequately. Luckily, radiobox B was there to continue the funk bustin' and we rode that sonic pony all the way to the last temple. As we approached the vicinity, Civitron's T'ronian senses began tingling and we knew we were close. We disengaged our disruptors and radioboxes. Stealth-mode activiated! This was serious business.

There behind the final athanaeum, we discovered the source of the signal which had us pinballing around the system all night. It was an ancient relic of immense power and historical significance, the legendary Holocron cube. Contained within this glowy box, we would discover all the secrets of the universe... or just a bunch of mission badges...
