NoWay No-Show

Mission Summary

Today was NoWay Day, however NoWay was unable to join us. We had
three maggots, and a forecast of rain. Maggot StarScream showed up
with his own massive duotube chopper, FTL HellOnWheels. Maggot
MOSFETgrrl brought her own beautiful new chopper, FET CherryPopper.
Maggot LordManwhore was decked out in very distinctive protective
gear: several helmets, a life vest, some fringe and a smile. DeCaf
rode his giant little ship, DRB Freakaziod on its first official
mission.

We set off under a dark grey sky in high spirits, cruising through
some of the local constellations on our way downtown. We were very
ably navigated by Vegetable to Luna Prudential Center to acquire
Fried Torroidal Dough. We lumbered on from there to an undisclosed
derby field location, where minor doses of low-grade radiation were
received. Two derbies required the participation of assassins to
expedite matters.

A string of seemingly minor mechanicals plagued ETA BirdEater's
primary thruster, culminating in a final grinding halt that upon
inspection revealed loose bearings and chewed up metal in the hub.
An immediate repair being impractical, we locked BirdEater up and
found an alternative means to complete the mission. Commodore Oppo
bravely volunteered to return to the Fort via SpaceOmnibusTransport,
and allowed Tarantula to finish the mission on USB SpookyPirate.

We returned to the Fort slightly irradiated, but healthy.
