To echoes of slight radiation, 13 lucky pilots and maggots set out under Bane Fundipwolf, at the helm of Clouddipster. Bendip was on loan from far away, as well as two old maggots, Packrat and LilWheel. They were promised a good time. With the glorious DayCordova mission postponed, this would be a Double Dip instead of a triple, offering a short voyage to counteract two long Daystar plans. Objectives included dipping things into other things.
By way of a Death Star unsavory snack stop, a distress call was heard above the parking lot! Obviously, SCUL investigated briefly, making friends with Birdhouse residents and securing beer and wine molecules. From there, our heros completed a tour de playgrounds, looking for a satisfactory location to perform dips, flying by Danehey and the Pirate Ship before dipping through River Street. Crossing over a potential disastrous skybridge, they descended upon a playground designed for exercise. Armed with snacks and sticks, pilots practiced dipping carrots into salsa, chips into salsa, sticks and toes into the Charles, and themselves on the playground equipment. Standouts included wombat running with beverage on treadmill, bane practicing trap on the high bars, ShadowCat doing excellent dips and a pilot pigpile on the elliptical. Diptard, Dipi, Diprat, ShadipCat and PastdripQueen experienced the nebular warmth and saved the mission. As the hour grew late, the decision was made to fly home direct, with Bendy dipping his toes in every tiny radiation spot each way. As the last of the fleet rounded the corner, dipi's civi ship lost a booster and he had to rely on his escape pods to cover the last block to the launch pad!
Mission Success was declared and everyone dispersed to prepare for the longrage HorrorShow mission to follow.
