A few pilots had a very productive MRC. Fleet ships, new ships, and new sound systems were all worked on right up until Mission Control announced that MRC was over. Rad Max put the final touches on new ship Rad Rig before its christening later in the eve. Its christening was conducted in a very fashionable Mad Max way, silver spray paint on the cockpit and all over Rad Max’s teeth.
The SCUL fleet had a very busy mission ahead of them. With Dr.Claw at the navigational helm, the fleet took a tour of the Ward Two Sub-System before heading towards objective number one, the skate park. The pilots showed great enthusiasm when entering the skate park by flying their ships up and down the skate park’s banks. Taco was especially prepared for this missions as he brought his set of escape pods.
After some unstructured shore leave, it was time to get down to business. The pilots quickly assembled and gathered their ships at the edge of the largest and deepest skate bowl. With teamwork, each ship was carefully brought down into the depths of the bowl. Pilots even made quick work of Cloudbuster without putting scratching its hull. After Cloudbuster was placed safely in the middle of the bowl with all of the other, the groove was turned up and a dance party commenced. F-stop took some pictures of everyone’s glee before the pilots teamed up to hoist all the ships back up and out of the bowl. Some may say that Cloudbuster flew out of that bowl on its own.
With a rough negi g-well start, the pilots were ready to move on and try to guess where Dr.Claw was going to lead them to next. The next objective was to get every ship and pilot off the ground at a playground. Some pilots questioned if there was a playground big enough for the fleet. But Dr.Claw knew his Systems, and led the fleet to a playground near the Charles asteroid belt.
The pilots ran and jumped through the playground looking for interesting and fun ways to place their ships in precarious places. Excess climbed a pole and was given Mjollnir for a photo high up above the ground. Bieber Fever looked like it was floating on its own while other pilots tried to float above their ships. Excess' parkourista guest was able to reenact that one scene from ET. At some point in time Bane lost his phone during this part of the mission.
On the way back to the fort, Dr.Claw led the fleet to some unsavory snacks. Some pilots stuff their faces full of snacks as Bane and Pastry Queen doubled back to retrieve Bane’s lost item. Rocket had every snack under the moon while Fleet Admiral Skunk was handing out edible stogies. Dead bride performed a puppet show with her shield balloons right before the fleet was off to return home.
