Spindependence

Fifteen pilots set out to bust the funk with fire and 'Merica. That objective was accomplished with firework viewing at Prospect Hill, creative use of railroad tracks, sparklers, and Centvrion's fork grinding space asphalt when Dreadflint stole Red Squirrel's second, extraneous wheel. The fleet also managed a complete orbit of Fresh Pond and four formations, but failed to ascend the parking deck.

On the way out to Fresh Pond, Ichirinsya took advantage of the free expedited subspace transit for the holiday and attempted to board the T at Alewife mid-flight. Though he made it through the airlocks, success was minimal.

The fleet entered unfamiliar territory in the Belmont System, where Dreadflint forcibly ripped Red Squirrel's navigational thruster right out from under her ship while attempting wall formation. While surveying the damage, the batallion was attacked by hostile civilians in a transport armed with space lizard eggs, who managed to land a perfect direct hit on ATM Machine's crank that splattered all over Wombat's leg. Light damage but no casualties were suffered.

Other waypoints included the old Merlin shop, birthplace of SCUL, the Watertown System's space-skate park, where fire was lit and photos were captured, and Christian Herter Park, where the Admiral led the fleet in the SCUL dance. Many funks were busted!
