Mission Summary

Five maggots showed for tonight's mission. We were in the spotlight as one pilot who joined was seeking some material for a Boston Herald article on our gang. Naturally this meant we needed to show the reporter a FUNKing good time. The plan was to have a high profile experience and to derby. The fleet had a rather long set of promotions at the launch pad and finally got underway. But within a mere 20feet from launch, the first mechanical appeared as a burst inner plasma casing on Mjollnir.

Once repaired the fleet headed to the Union Constellation to use sidewalk chalk to express our bicycle artwork. We then headed to LunaToscaninis where there was a great deal of grooving. In fact, it may be the most pilots grooving in one place on a mission ever. The fleet then decided to derby. Then derby some more. And derby again and again. We found a vacant lot where even the STs didn't mind our activities. The first derby resulted in a very serious taco of HolyMolar's rear thruster which WalTor took as a challenge for his thighs, but managed to make it roll once more. Meanwhile, some more derbies took place.

ConCarne won the first one. The long awaited victory of Shakes finally happened much to everyone's joy and a rather dramatic conclusion to a derby between Asher and Snarly resulted in a somersault finish. Afterwards, the fleet returned to the fort without further incident.
