Mission Summary

A late departure stunted our ability to rendezvous with the Grey Matter Transport, so the Thompson Island System became an icon of our lost hopes. Shortly after realizing this, Maggot Gropo's Cockpit on USB Sky King self-ejected, but he miraculously maintained control of the vessel.

The fleet was about 2 light years from base, so Gropo decided to brave the direct interface with the Boosters and Stabilizers, and continue on with the fleet to the Marine Industrial Complex, South-Boston System.

Temptation overshadowed Maggot Lone Wulfe's sense of reason, and he was compelled to overturn a number of Planetary Buoys within visual contact of a Storm Trooper... Needless to say the fleet was exposed, and asked to promptly leave the Marine Industrial compound.

L.W. made certain to rectify the alignment of the buoys, and made quick progress to Luna Buzzy's, where the fleet enjoyed mass quantities of grease particles.

With our replenished reactors, we made quick progression across the Longfellow Passage, through the Charles Asteroid Belt. Once through, we were drawn in to the immense psycho-gravitational field of the Great Globe, and thereafter bade farewell to a small break-away fleet, many of which returned to Fort Francis to return their ships, and align themselves horizontally for the evening.

We made our way to a nearby derby field, and commenced the SCUL2000 Derby season. The field was wrought with a fine sand-like substance, which made for intense competition. Maggot Scratch took the first win, and an amazing triumph was made by Maggot Bulldog and Maggot Mucus on derby #2, piloting and bombardeering USB Chrome Pony! A heavily damaged ship resulted in needing retrieval on Crimson Ghost by Mucas.

We attempted to derby again back on SCUL Territory, the derby field at Luna StarMarket near Fort Francis, but the fleet had depleted much of its reactor fuel, and we decided to bypass Derby #3, returned directly to fort.
