We're gonna get together to talk about hopes for the 2024 season, schedule a few missions, and plan some future maintenance repair and construction. After the meeting is done, stick around to help get your favorite ships ship-shape and space-worthy.

Hope to see you there!
We have a floating 'Amulet of Antwerp' (key fob) which is available to any pilot who wishes to hang out at the new fort - whether alone, or with other SCUL pilots and cadets. This can happen any time 24/7/365. Please be responsible and stay safe - especially if you're alone.
To get access, find the fob by checking the Wizard of Antwerp page.
Note: Excess, Doctor Claw, Hackworth and Skunk have Amulets too.
If you aren't sure what's okay to be doing at the Fort, please ask.
Fort Antwerp is located at 55 Antwerp Street Boston, accessible only via Everett or Holton Street. Fort Antwerp has a HAL Page.
SCUL prime missions use the following schedule:
Once ready, we head to the launchpad - the other side of the garage door where you ring your bell to get in. It's on the map above.
Assemble at the launchpad at the given time. Once we have 'condition green across the board', the mission leader calls 'FALL RANKS'.
Criteria | Point Person |
---|---|
All pilots physically present on the launchpad | The individual pilot |
All ships preflighted | The individual pilot |
All taskforce jobs assigned | The deck officer |
All bags are inventoried | Each pilot who took on the taskforce job |
All affairs of the Gate Attendant settled | The gate attendant |
Status: in-flight set | The deck officer |
When SCUL was running out of basements, it was a challenge to let the crew know it was time to launch since there were pilots on three different floors. We set up house intercoms, hacked with a voice-activation switch. We hooked it up to a computer running a countdown timer and set it to play sounds at certain times. The original name was Intercominomicron.
When SCUL moved to the Asylum, we wanted to keep the culture alive so we transformed to a webpage running javascript. Before July 2021 it wasn't able to get updated remotely, only locally. This meant that pilots who accessed Mission Control's webpage would not get accurate information, it could only be used at the fort. In May of 2023 it was tied to the scul database so it now directly updates.
Stardate 230069 - mission control actual and mission control remote have been separated, using the same php engine. The one at the fort is specifically set up for a 1920 x 1080 screen, and is typically only viewed at HQ. Here's a link to the page if you are curious.
